Meet L.A. Social Karma

It was 2007, and I hated my job. I was so sick of chasing impossible sales quota and hearing sales lines like “by hook or by crook”, and trying to sell a product that I didn’t believe in. I was miserable every day, and every night I would ask the universe for something new. I often laugh at this when I look back now; be careful what you ask for you might just get it.

After the realization that I was so unhappy, and after weeks of waiting and hoping for a dramatic change, I was let go from my job. I was devastated and admittedly a bit terrified! But the universe does have a funny way working to bring us what we truly need, and a few days after being fired an old client called to catch up, and by chance asked me to help his business’s with Facebook and Yelp and to send a few marketing emails until I found a job. I said, “I don’t know anything about Facebook!” His reply was, “you’re young you’ll learn…” — That was over 7 years ago, and he’s still my client and biggest supporter. Because of that small push, L.A. Social Karma has grown from a small project consisting of only me and my laptop, to 1 full-time employee and 5 contractors, and I couldn’t be happier.

Located in the Mar Vista Venice area we work with such notable clients as Fleet Feet Sports ( Westlake and Encino), Santa Monica Farmers Marketing, Upper West, Lago Santa Monica, Venice Sign, and Venice Art Crawl just to mention a few.

I picked the name “Karma”  because I believe you get what you give in this life, and it represents the desire I had to run my business on my terms. Not based on some inflated sales number, but more based on how we can help business owners tell their stories through social media. I feel that you truly get what you give in your community.

L.A. Social Karma provides Facebook, Instagram, and Email marketing services.  We create custom content that makes sense for your business, and helps you tell your story to your community!
