Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
LA Social Karma ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through lasocialkarma.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Visiting our website alone does not give consent to optional analytics or advertising cookies.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and any other information you choose to enter. When you contact us or book a consultation, we receive the contact information, appointment details, and business information you provide so we can respond and prepare for your meeting. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in general inquiries or booking notes.
Technical information. Our website and its service providers may receive information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, referring page, and cookie or similar identifiers. What is collected depends on the feature you use and your cookie choices.
How We Use Your Information
Send the newsletter and marketing emails you have signed up for.
Respond to questions and arrange consultations.
Understand website use and measure advertising when you permit the relevant optional tools.
Operate and secure the website, prevent spam, and honor privacy and email preferences.
Tools and Third Parties We Use
Squarespace hosts our website and provides website functionality and built-in analytics. Essential functions can process technical information even when optional cookies are declined.
Constant Contact provides our newsletter signup form and email service. Information you submit is stored and processed there for our mailing list. The signup form loads when you choose to open it.
Google reCAPTCHA helps protect the signup form from spam. Opening the form can also load reCAPTCHA and transmit device, browser, and interaction information to Google for security purposes. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Google Calendar provides consultation booking. Following a booking link takes you to Google's service. We use the appointment information available to us to arrange and prepare for your consultation.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager help us understand website visits. Our Google tracking code waits for performance and analytics consent before loading.
Meta Pixel helps measure Facebook and Instagram advertising. When you allow advertising cookies, it can receive technical identifiers and information about the page visited. Our Meta tracking code waits for advertising consent before loading.
Each provider also describes its own information practices in its privacy policy. The information a provider receives depends on the service you use and your choices. Optional advertising disclosures to platforms may be treated as "sharing" under applicable privacy laws; they are separate from subscribing to our newsletter.
Cookies and Your Choices
Essential cookies support website operation and remember choices. Optional performance and analytics cookies help us understand site use. Optional advertising cookies support advertising measurement.
Choose Accept all, Reject nonessential, or Manage cookies in the banner. You can reopen Cookie Preferences to change your choices later. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from reading our service information, opening the newsletter signup form, or following our booking links.
Our Google Analytics and Meta tracking code loads only after the relevant optional category is enabled. Withdrawing consent reloads the page so those scripts do not load again under the withdrawn choice. Our custom tracking code also leaves these tools disabled when a browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
Opening the newsletter form requests the Constant Contact and reCAPTCHA features described above; booking links open Google's service. These features are separate from optional advertising and analytics consent. Browser privacy settings provide additional controls. Changing a preference does not necessarily erase information already received by a provider or every existing browser cookie.
Email Communications
When you subscribe, we send our newsletter and occasional marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email jen@lasocialkarma.com to ask us to stop marketing emails. Opening a form or booking a consultation does not by itself subscribe you to our newsletter.
Privacy Requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, ask how it is used, or opt out of certain uses or disclosures. California residents may have additional rights under applicable California privacy laws. To make a request, email jen@lasocialkarma.com. We may need information to verify and process your request and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. Cookie choices and email unsubscribe options are also available as described above.
Data Retention
We retain information as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including managing subscriptions, responding to inquiries, providing services, maintaining security, honoring opt-outs, and meeting legal obligations. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails; it does not automatically delete all subscription or opt-out records. You can separately request deletion using the contact address above, subject to applicable exceptions.
Third-Party Links
Our site links to services we do not control. Their privacy policies apply to information they collect. Please review those policies before using a linked service.
Children's Privacy
Our site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can address it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services or information practices change. We will revise the date above when we publish an update and provide any additional notice required by law.
